Atlantic City vs Las Vegas for gambling?

I've been to Las Vegas like 50 times and have never been to Atlantic City. Is the gambling at Atlantic City any better than Vegas? I usually play slots and video poker along with Blackjack and craps. I realize there are less casinos in AC but if there is a better gambling experience, then I'd go for it.
