Caught Shoplifting, 18 years old, first offense.?

Sadly everyone makes a mistake in their lifetime - some get caught others continue for a life time - You my friend were lucky you were caught and now you feel the shame of what you've done. Yes I say admit to the crime in court an honest and just magistrate can see if you are genuine in your plea. IF you are released without any conviction and IF you are serious about your first mistake let this be a lesson to you. Don't be afraid to talk to other about what you did your confession may lead others away from criminal intention. I wish you all the very best of good luck throughout your life.
