Is racism a serious problem in China?

It is, but unlike in western countries where the media plays up racism and sensationalizes it, the Chinese media plays it down and pretends that everyone is tolerant so most Chinese people are not aware of the problem. Also China is so genous that most Chinese people aren't really conscious of "race", it's that you're either Chinese or you're not.
