What freeware can I download to open a Word doent (.doc)?

Google docs is now compatible with the format, you can access this from google's website or type it in on the search box, or u can access it from a google mail account if you have it...great thing about it is that u can save ur work online and access it everywhere where internet is available. (works offline too)
