Need to calm down nervous riding?

I have a little Honda CBR 125 and i am still on L plates. But i'm so nervous! Everyone says i'm crap at riding but i'm just so nervous when people watch me pull off n stuff. I'm too scared to ride to work cuz there are mive roundabouts and literally abut 4 lanes, and loads of traffic. I need to calm down. Most of my friends are bikers too and they say it's normal to be so nervous when you're a beginner, but it's getting me down now cuz i absolutely adore riding, but i don't seem to be improoving.
